Will Cooper lead vocals, keys Will began his obsessions with RUSH like most fans. After hearing Tom Sawyer at age 12, he became intrigued by the unique sound and lyrics. Since that time Will has been a fan and a student of the musical complexity of RUSH. He began singing RUSH covers occasionally in the early '90s with his band, Sound Advice. Once he realized how closely his voice matched Geddy Lee's, he decided to focus more and more on performing RUSH. "At first I was a little apprehensive, not knowing if I could really reach some of those high notes that Geddy is famous for. But I thought, you know, I've been singing these songs for just about my whole life. I really got serious when I realized, like everyone else did, that we were destined to put this band (Coldfire) together. You know you're committed when on top of all the work, you completely change your diet so you can sing better." Will has made it his goal to mimic every inflection and sustain every note exactly like Geddy. "What really helps me is to listen closely to the live versions of the songs. I pick up a lot of things Geddy does that way." He has solely invested in a home studio, where the band rehearses. "At this point I just really enjoy playing with these guys. They are extremely talented and I feel pretty lucky to be a part of this band. Every night I sing these songs I get something that is hard to describe. \
